  • The main function of a printing cleanroom

In general, production enterprises have workshops, although they are all called workshops, the differences between workshops are quite significant. Some workshops are ordinary workshops with no specific requirements for the contents or the workshop itself, but there are some workshops with more requirements, just like printing cleanrooms, and their functions are also significant. So what is the main function of a printing cleanroom?

    1. Reduce paper dust. The paper powder contained in paper and the dust contained in the air fly around in dry rooms, which have varying degrees of impact on the quality of printed materials. When the indoor humidity exceeds 50%, various dust particles absorb water and become heavier, falling to the ground.

    2. Avoid wrinkling. The reason for paper wrinkling is due to phenomena such as ruffles or tight edges, which prevent the paper from being flat and stretched, resulting in wrinkles during printing. This phenomenon will cause a large amount of waste to appear in the printer.

    3. Prevent expansion and deformation. Due to different types of paper, their expansion and contraction rates vary. If the paper cannot reach humidity balance with the environment, it will cause the following situations: the paper absorbs moisture and expands, and loses moisture and shrinks. When the deformation is severe, the monochrome printing machine cannot be overprinted. When printing with multiple colors, there may also be a phenomenon of one color elongating one by one, or the dragging part forming a fan-shaped angle, causing overprinting or inaccurate alignment of the front and back sides due to stretching, or uneven stretching of the printed paper, which brings a lot of trouble to the next processing step.

    4. Remove static electricity. Paper is prone to static electricity. Staff often experience electric shock and static electricity, especially during the dry seasons of autumn and winter. The strength of static electricity is closely related to environmental humidity. Static electricity is more active at a relative humidity of 30%, and the lower the humidity, the more active it is. As the humidity increases, it gradually decreases, and there will be no humidity above 50% in the printing clean room environment.

The role of printing cleanrooms in the printing industry can be fully realized. We can provide construction services for related workshops, and anyone with relevant needs can contact us. The requirements for future workshops will continue to change, and in order for companies to perform well, they also need to constantly improve their relevant technologies to meet market demands.
